Freedom Arms model 2008

Gents,
As I read through the match results in the annual IHMSA review I could not find any instance where a Freedom Arms mod 2008 was used in the big bore pistol classes. They dominate the revolver category.

I was wondering why they are absent from the pistol competition which seems dominated by ...

Re: Smith Wesson mod 41 for silhouette

Thanks Lynn. If I used a model 41 I would need to get a red dot for it. My eyes no longer are good for open sights.
Assuming good accuracy, do the bullets have enough energy for the 100 yd. targets?

Other item still pending.

Re: 357 Mag in Freedom Arms model 2008

I would think that a 170 or 180 gr. bullet should do the job.

Thanks for your info. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
I agree with you on the bullet. Which powder and how much do you use? Previous load info I received indicated some folks were loading past recommended H110 powder maximums in the ...

357 Mag in Freedom Arms model 2008

Gents,
Appreciate your input on this.
I have a FA model 83 (revolver) in 357 mag. It's a little light on the turkeys. The more stalwart of you have advised loads in excess of the reloading manual recommendations, feeling that the FA is stout enough to support it. New to reloading and uncomfortable ...
