Re: N350 TC357mag rcbs 200fn

V V quotes 6gr to 8gr for a 180gr bullet. I'll try 6gr and see how it performs.

Left the Range

Randall (Randy) Wilson Fussell passed Jan 27 2025. He is survived by Kesha. Randy was always a tough competitor whether in big bore or smallbore. As are many of us, he always had accuracy projects in motion. He was also a cast bullet shooter. I met Randy around the early 1990s when he and Kesha ...

N350 TC357mag rcbs 200fn

Friends, Have any of you tried N350 in a 10'' 357mag using the rcbs 35-200fn ? My barrel is an early 1983 and has no throat requiring the bullet seated deep. There are barrels with long throats. I have used 4227 at 12gr; acc9 at 10.5gr and 1680 at 12 and 13gr. I have used n350 in a 44mag using the ...

Re: Left The Range; Randall "Randy" Fussell (Georgia)

Randy was a friend for at least 30 years. He was always a gentleman first. Randy held interest in reloading and in bullet casting. He was one who was always searching for a better bullet or load so we got along well. For the last year he had health battles I wouldnt wish on most people. I did think ...

Re: Bullet weight for HS and FS Rams

A few years back one of our NC members used an XP100 (single shot) in .223 for big bore. He used a heavy (maybe 85 or 90gr) bullet and keeping the
hits high would take the ram target.
Dave Chaney had an XP single shot in 30 BR. It was used in big bore with 100gr bullets. Used for Unl any sights and ...

Re: Gun for Field Pistol

[Steve, welcome to IHMSA. Regarding the Contender and 22 Hornet; The hornet is entirely adequate for Field
Pistol. Why do you think it is not ?
The Contender trigger may not be satisfactory on an average action or one used for hunting. With proper care
the Contender trigger can be made under 1 lb ...

.378 bolt for XP WTB

I'm in need of a 378 face bolt. Possibly someone has one at a reasonable cost.

Re: WTB .357 mag 14" contender barrel.

Steve, a 14'' barrel places you in Unlimited, including Unlimited--any sights and Standing Unlimited.
There are better cartridges for those, most commonly the 7mm-TCU.
Unless from the TC custom shop I'm unaware of any TC 14''' in 357 Mag.
Find a 10in TC or other 357M barrel. It will serve for Prod ...

.30 Reece powders

I realize the 30 Reece is not widely used. However I'm exploring the potential of SR4759 (which also is not in common use).
The Reece has about the same volume as 32-20 (30-20). My bullet is the RCBS 30-165 which has a long nose section so shouldnt
take up powder space. I;m open to suggestions ...
