XP-100R Firing Pin Interchange

Post by jmoore »

Does the repeater version of the XP-100 use the same firing pin as the single shot version? Seems reasonable, but would rather b sure before buying a replacement.

Thanks,

Yes they are the same also model 7 is same length. Check PTG you can get a lightweight (faster locktime) for $19 I think.

or you could do like me. for $47.00 from PTG, I keep a full XP firing pin assembly (shroud, pin, spring, etc) on hand. takes me less than 2 minutes to replace the assembly if I ever break a firing pin.

Might do both: Get an assembly and a pin. The firing pin that's in the XP-100R now is oddly shaped, too flat a dome which barely indents primers. Hasn't been a functional drama, yet, just looks worrisome. Danged big OD, but not going to bother with going to a smaller diameter and reducing the FP hole in the bolt.

Thanks, y'all!
