$600 may be for one, or a bunch of different type of cards. You have both 40 round cards, and championship 80 round cards. They last a long time. They are generally printed in the 1000's when done. (Enough to fill approx. a paper reambox). Again a savings, but nothing big. Probably a good thing to watch is when one MD retires, he's handing everything off to the next man. If a new MD doesn't need to order everything he can think of might, may be a wise way of saving $.

I understand that none of the things mentioned in this post are going to put the organization over the top, but lets face it, if every match director could download ALL of the forms, scorecards, etc. from the internet, there is absolutely no cost to the IHMSA. I know where I shoot, there has never been more than 5 or so shooters on any given Saturday, and most of the time there is only three, the Match Director, myself and another shooter. Learning today that one of our shooters has sold off all of his guns and will no longer be attending. It really just seems that the IHMSA has not kept up with the times and technology. Why send a hundred or more scorecards and "X" amount of forms via USPS to a club that only needs a few each month, which may add up to 50 or so for the whole year. I applaud all of the clubs and people that are trying to keep us alive, I try to do my part here by urging people to be more involved. But at this point unless we cut every cost possible and figure out a way to lure in NEW shooters, I believe we are in an uphill (losing) battle.
