I wish I had more money and time, and oh a BB handgun. I would like to shoot in a match like that. That being said back in the 80's that was a typical weekend match, that I could attend at numerous clubs every weekend of the month. :(

3rd Saturday of the month. but check with me first as once in awhile they will change it to make time for a special event at the range. I'm not sure if our schedule is posted here or in the IHMSA News

At our last match,we were in for a big surprise when it came time to set-up.All our Field Pistol targets were shot full of big holes.manly the chickens and pig.Turkeys and Rams were damaged but not as bad.One chicken was completly shot in half. Our club has an event called Hunter Rifle Silhouettes. The targets are the same size as the FP,only made much thicker. They are shot at the BB distances, but only 5 per bank instead of 10.Someone grabbed the wrong targets. Now we are out of a complete set of FP targets. ihmsa will never return to what it once was. we have over 1200 members in our club and only 3 of us shoot silhouette. that's a shame !! guess we have to live with it.

Don't hold me to these numbers, but the only state match I ever shot in, in MI, probably had 400-500 entries. It was absolutely incredible. Manufacturer reps from gun, reloading, ammo, etc, etc, etc. Door prizes out the a$$. I won a Lyman 1200 Turbo Tumbler. Oh to be back in those days :ymsigh:

i had over $2000 worth of door prizes that i gave away in 2009 when we hosted the regionals. this year it will be the same, but i'm going to give away a new MOA silhouette gun as 1 of the door prizes.
