The 2011 Region II Bigbore and Half-Scale Championship is scheduled for Labor Day weekend in Gordonsville Va. It will be held at the Piedmont club. Check their post in places to shoot for more info on the range itself. Plan a couple extra days in the area. There are a lot of interesting things to see. Thomas Jefferson's home Monticello, James Madison's home, many Civil War museums and attractions and the University of Va. which Thomas Jefferson was the architect of the original buildings and the beautiful Shenandoah valley. I know I plan to be there.

Thanks for the send-up to the Regional II Championship match. I will be conducting it at Gordonsville. We will have 2 banks of big bore and 2 banks of half-scale for competition available. We are in the process if arranging for tee shirts. Hopefully in the near future we will have made arrangements with the closet hotel for discount rates. We will have 30 RV spots available for $10.00 per night and are available on a first come - first serve basis. There is also limited primitive camping sites available on the club. Please feel free to ask me anything you want concerning this match.

As you mentioned there are several sites to visit in the area. For us shooters, the National Firearms Museum at the NRA headquarters is just about 2 hours away and a very interesting place.
