I haven't seen it anywhere else in my travels. And it does seem to generate a lot of interest with the CO folks--there will typically be more entries for Bordello in a typical match than any other particular event.

I'm pretty sure Atwood, Kansas uses big targets for Bordello.

I have to break down and admit, I am an idiot. I have heard the term but don't know what bordello means as far as shooting goes. My knowledge (not first hand) about bordellos involves an indoor sport. I'm sure I haven't shot a bordello match or maybe I did and I just didn't know it.

You are not an idiot at all--Bordello isn't an official class (though they did shoot it at last year's Internationals), and so some regions may have never even seen it.
I'm not expert on it, so hopefully I'm not wrong on my information. The basic idea is for practice with carry-type guns. Maximum barrel length is 4" for revolvers, or 5" for semi-automatics. It is shot on field pistol targets. There can be no sight adjustment once you start.
Joe Cullison won it at last year's World Championship I believe with a score of 42x80, which is a heck of a good score, so you can see it is quite challenging. When I have seen it, seems like scores are typically between 9-15 or so on field pistol targets.
What Colorado (and maybe others) started doing is use full size big bore targets at the field pistol distances. Instead of using a bank of five targets, they just set up a swinger at each distances and count the hits. For people that shoot regularly at the monthly matches, they keep track and set up a handicap system which I don't fully understand since I haven't shot it since they started doing that.
Hope that helps.

It is fun. I have shot it with just my 2" barrel cary gun, so I miss a heck of a lot more than I hit! I think I got a 9 my first time on field pistol targets, and the best I've shot is a 13. It's good practice though.

Well how about that! I have shot FP with fixed sight guns so that must mean I have been in, er, uh, shot bordello. I'm sure I would have remembered if I had been in one but my mind isn't as good as it used to be. Thanks for the explanation.
