That is actually a great question, and one that we should continually ask ourselves.
I know my brother and I have bantered around about this topic, as far as incentives for bringing in new members. One possibility we discussed was having a "contest" where whoever brought in the most new members (a form could be created in which a new member would "credit" an IHMSA member that brought them into the sport), and then whoever had the most of these "credits" at the end might get a free membership for the next year. Just a thought.
In response to your initial question though, I can only say that I've brought in one thus far this year, with another who has shown interest but we haven't been able to get a common time yet--hopefully he and I can get to a fall match. I hope others respond to this thread, it is a great topic and one that is obviously critical to our growth.
