My utmost thanks to all past Vets and especially to those serving today. I hope everyone thinks of your sacrifice each day and not just once a year. Serving your country is an honor that many of us have been privileged to share with each other. God bless our Vets and the U.S.A.
I would like to hear from other vets on this forum. Branch of service and length of service.
USAF 1965 - 1969, HQ AFLC Wright-Patterson AFB, OH

Steve, I didn't know you were stationed at WP. I served all my time at WP then another 44 years there as a Civil Servant and at the end as a contractor. Small world. I guess I never asked you about your service when you lived in OH.

Selected that base as my final duty station as my wife & daughter were in Findlay. l Always though it was dumb to park B-52's next to a four lane highway with a field on the other side. Just get in the field & lob mortars over the fence and make big holes in the runway if you can't hit a plane. None could then fly! Military intelligence at its finest! =)) =))

My service was in USAF early 1966--Dec 1969. Vandenberg AFB, CA and Ellsworth AFB, SD, as a missile facility (Minuteman) electrician. Due to SALT treaty agreements a good number of these sites were decommissioned. Thanks to all who served. rp
