What pull weight would you recommend for a rear grip XP? I'm in the process of putting one together and want to know if I should get a ounces trigger or pound trigger. Only want to buy once.

I can't really give you a firm answer on this Greg. In my opinion, the weight of a trigger pull that would be best for you is the one that you prefer. Some people do shoot better with a 2 oz trigger and some don't. All my XP's have factory triggers and I do just fine with them. Some people need a lighter pull. Maybe you could shoot someone else's gun to get a better idea of what would be best for you. That would be my advice.

Greg I have two rear grip xp's both with timney tatical triggers
I pick these because I could adjust the lenght of pull which I think is
Just important as the weight. I don't have to stretch my figure to reach the trigger
Like I did with the Rifle basix . speaking of
Weight the 1st I ordered was 9 oz. the second was 6oz.
I do like the 6 better but that's me and me don't know crap

if you are not sure, I would look for a Jewell HVR trigger. these triggers just by changing a spring (which come with the trigger) can be adjusted anywhere from 1.5 ozs to as high as 3 lbs. this is probably the most versatile trigger on the market. Jewell also is the best trigger on the market since Canjar went out of business and the preferred trigger of benchrest shooters.

Just a warning, make sure you do not get a low profile stock. these require a special low profile trigger which are Very hard to find.

I have an Older Shilen varmint trigger that is adjustable from 6 ozs to 1.5 Lbs that I love, But this trigger is no longer made :((
