I am probably close to the least qualified to answer this but I will give it a try.... 1st off I have my doubts as to the ability of a 22 Hornet to take a 1/2 scale ram at 200. I just dont think it will have enough energy left at that range.
My load for field pistol would likely have as good a chance as any hornet load though.
55gr fmj ahead of 8.6gr of 296. I never chrono'ed it but it drops FP rams with authority (when I hit them

). Accuracy is good but I have my doubts about the barrels ability to stabilize that heavy a bullet at longer ranges. I have never shot it past 100 so I am only guessing...
I would be greatly interested in hearing your results though!

In 2002 I shot half scale at Tusco using my 22H t/c 10''. At that time I used a 50gr bullet and probably 10gr 4227, maybe 10.5 but check other loading data. There was no problem knocking down the Ram. In the wind the problem was drift. The bullet would drift about half a target so I held at the rump (facing right) and drifted them onto the target. This bullet mv was around 2000fps, maybe a bit more. If you have a calm morning that may be the time to bring out your 22h. You do have to do some sighting work. I cant remember if I shot it in 2006 for HS but I dont believe I did. It will work but you'll be the first to suffer in the wind. rp

Like RP said the wind will be your worst enemy with the Hornet. I shoot a 223 for 1/2 scale with 55 gr'ers and the wind will drift them around at 2600 FPS mv ( turk and ram load )
