Yes. If a shooter wants to shoot an iron sighted gun in both unlimited and unlimited anysight. They must shoot their unlimited score first. If they only use it to shoot unlimited any sight they can shoot it any time. There are also a number of other scenarios. You have to shoot the lower ranked gun first.

I will add to that, Greg. If you are using the exact SAME iron-sighted handgun for both iron sights and scoped categories, you must shoot the iron sight score first. If you are using two different iron-sighted guns for both categories, it doesn't matter which one is shot first.

Thanks Dean, I should have said that in my first post. In the rule book is a ranking of guns/categories. It is also used to determine the order of shoot offs. That way if a shooter used the same gun in multiple categories he does'nt have a perceived advantage in a shoot off.

It all boils down to practice at a match. A shooter could have one gun he really likes, let's say a revolver. He could go to a match and shoot it in production 1st, unlimited 2nd and then his revolver score. He would then have 95 practice targets before he fired against like action types. He could have all his sight settings doped out by then and a perceived advantage over someone who only shoots a particular gun once at a match.
