Our last match of the season is over. It typically is the smallest match of the year. Some of our shooters are deer hunting and doing other things. Our illustrious match director David Bemis couldn't be here this month because of a business trip so I had to run the match. I see why I gave it up all those years ago. David needs to get his priorities straight, either he's going to keep a job or run matches so I can shoot :)).

The weather was nice and sunny but the wind was out of the north east. That made it a little chilly. The shooting was a little cold too. The only shooter to do well was the old blind man Will Curlin. He shot a 38 in .22 P Int he hit all the targets but shot the first chicken before the command to fire and hit the first ram in the foot and it didn't fall. He had a 39 in UFS by missing the first ram. The rest of us just couldn't get it together except my son Ben, he shot my Ruger Charger at the field pistol targets in the rifle shoot and managed to hit them all.
