first, while I was at the LASC extravaganza, I got a great deal on a bunch of Bullets. mainly got almost 3,000 bullets for $120. BUT they are all discontinued bullets.

The first is the bullets not boxed are Rainier 300Blkout 180gr RNFP bullets and are copper plated. I only have one question, is there any velocity restrictions on Copper plated bullets?

the Next is what luck for Powders has people had luck in the 357 Max with Jacketed bullets? I have had good luck with IMR4227 and 5744 with cast bullets, but not doing well with Jacketed bullets. powders I have on hand are IMR4227, 2400, H110 and N110.

I will be shooting these in My wichita and a TC Barrel.

Thanks,

For the Max any of the powders you mentioned should work. Though 5744 probably won't get you the velocity you may want. Like forest341 said 1680 will get you to kill on both ends power.

On the copper clad .308s. I've always been told to load like a cast bullet.

I had good luck with the 4227 in the Max with 180 bullets, although my Ruger liked the discontinued Hornady 180 silhouette bullet. I also ran 296 but it had more bark to it.

I don't recall shooting any bullets that had such a long nose like those pictured.

I always used H4227 with both 180 grain jacketed and cast. If I remember right, it was 18.5 grains of H4227 and the 180 Hornady. I also used 5744, and still have a bunch of it around. I now have now idea what to use it in! :))
