Sako UL Rifle in 270 VJ caliber

Hello all -new forum member here-bought a rifle at an auciton here in Reno last week. It is a beautiful Sako L461 action Camo FIberglass stocked 6# 23" bbl rifle with Conetrol mounts. Vern Juenke was a local gunsmith who made these rifles and was well know in regional circle in the 70's-80's.
He is now 85 and in poor health.
I bought this rifle at a local estate auction without being totally aware of the intricacies of loading this caliber -thought it was a 222mag or 223 neck up.
In reality it requires 5.6x50R MAG brass(rimmed and currently available at Huntington's) to load this round. 90 gr .277 bullet at 2700 fps in a 15" bbl.
I am a varmint guy and just don't have the committment to load this round.
Seems reasonable that this could be turned into a 6.8 rem spc???Bolt face is currently .375 and would need to be .422 i think.
Since the VJ calibers were primarily used in silhouetts shooting, this seems like the place to start to see if anyone might be interested in this beautiful little rifle.please e mail me at magman1@Live.com for photos as I don't see a way to post here.
thanks all.
