Ok 1st. let me say I'm not trying to bend the rules or push the envelope. I'm new to this and merely trying to do this right.
I putting to together a A 10" contender barrel (7TCU)with open sights that I hope I can shoot not only in unlimited but also production from the "FLOP"
On my BB UAS "FLOP" 14" Contender I have a Herrett grip that I shorten and painted Black

The says
"The original stock, grip or fore end maybe replaced with a stock, grip and or/fore end that is a Manufacturer's catalog item(s), which fit and attach to the handgun without any alteration to the stock, grip or fore end or handgun

I read it like you can't alter it to make it fit.
but the thing I'm asking is
Do people use and is it legal to use a shorten grip in production class
and no I did not remove any factory checkering and the rule also states
I was hopping to shoot UAS, U and production by only switching barrels but if I have to switch the grip to shoot Production I will
thanks

Hi
I shoot from the flop. For production I shoot a Pacmayr Gripper (unaltered). It is a little tall but I can make it work. I don't shoot production nearly enough. I never seem to have time. About the only time I shoot production is when I have a good standing score that I can put with it for an attempt to get into the 100 club. I would like to find a grip that works better because the gripper runs the weight right up near the max.
