Ready for Oklahoma?

Unfortunately I won't be attending the championship match in OK this year. I hear it is a great range and great bunch of people running it. I hope there will be a good turnout since this location is more central to all of the lower U.S. I was just curious of how many people were planning to attend the event and how and what guns they were planning on shooting. If you are planning on going, shoot an extra 80 for me. Make that a 54 in keeping with my normal shooting ability. (I'm being optimistic thinking a 54!)

Lynn, I wish you were going, It will be a blast. So far the only Ohio shooters I have heard going are myself, Basham and Bill Urbank.
I intend to shoot until my eyes bleed, at least 11 or 12. Going to shoot the ironman and maybe all the standing aggs. I have been to most of the last few Internationals and it is getting hard to get enough volunteers to run the line. Jim Fields is supposed to have talked his club into manning all the volunteer positions.
I say lets have the Internationals in Oklahoma every year!!!

Hi
OKC every year Jim? I liked the sound of a 3 year rotation better. The thought of not getting to shoot at Tusco really bumms me. I love that range. Even Ft Stockton has it's charms. It's not pretty the weather sucks but the challenge is fantastic. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled about the Ints. being in OKC this year.

John,
My tongue was in my cheek. Nobody can handle the internationals every year. It would be nice to have a couple more options available.
I have always wondered why we couldn't have an Internationals at Raton and shoot a combination NRA National and IHMSA International. There is a world class range at Raton and it gets no use. There are a bunch of hotels in Raton and it is close to Colorado Springs for those who want to fly in. I have flown to the NRA Hunter Pistol Nationals several times and Colorado Springs is very gun friendly. I assume because the Olympic training center is there.
I am really looking forward to shooting with you in Oklahoma and you have my deepest gratitude for hosting the Internationals at your range!!

Jim Raton would be interesting. I look forward to seeing you in OKC. Mr. Fields will have to get the lion's share of the credit though as he has been practicaly living at the range getting it ready.

I've been to all the TUSCO Internationals. (Also made all of them in Oak Ridge.) Sadly I will not be attending OKC this year. It would be nice if someone farther east held the Internationals in the near future.

Farther west would be better! OKC, TUSCO & Fort Stockton are all a 3 day run from Oregon; so, I will not be attending any International soon. But, I certainly do have fond memories of both TUSCO and Fort Stockton!

Let's get the clubs big enough all across the country to host one. Then flip flop from east, west and central. Clubs can bid, then use the 2-3 years until it's their turn to get ready. If they only want to commit to having it once that's fine. That way we can see all parts of the country. If Grants Pass is big enough that would be a nice place to have it.

Steve,
If you hosted the Internationals, I would be there!
Maybe next year?
You could make the WCC a little bigger and it could be the Internationals.
I think at this point almost any range could host an Internationals.
Figure out how many relays X the number of banks and that would be the maximum number of entries. If you didn't sign up in advance you would not get to shoot. Might put a stop to walk ins
