ASCENSION SILHOUETTE
GONZALES, LA - Oct 6-7, 2012
2012 LOUISIANA CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

What a great way to end the year! Shooters from Mississippi and Florida joined our local Louisiana gang for the 2012 season finale’ here at Ascension Silhouette. Forty-seven entries total were fired over the two day event in Smallbore, Fifth Scale, and Field Pistol. While the scores in general were not stellar, a great time was had by all. There were only two 40X40s fired, both of those being in UAS. Ginny West and Philip Braud went to the shoot-offs, consisting of 1/5th scale chickens at 100 yards to decide a Champion and Philip edged Ginny for the win. Harry Stover made the 60 club with a 61X80 in Field Pistol. Wayne Smith from Florida was on hand in spite of a recent knee surgery and fired the highest Field Pistol Production score for the event. He accomplished that using cast bullet loads in a 22 Hornet Contender. I can’t thank everyone enough for joining us for this Championship and all the matches leading up to it this past year. It was a memorable season and we hope to see you all again early next year when we crank up the 2013 Silhouette season.
