Do you need to check case length after every firing or is there a normal length of shots. I am shooting the 7mm TCU in a TC Contender 10".

I am water dropping them, I have been sizing them no later than the next day. Have another question, I'm pan lubing them and do I lube them first then size/gas check . I'm using the Lee sizing dies.
Any suggestions on starting powder charges with 4895?

Back again for more advice. I just got a RCBS mold for the 145gr. sil boolit. What would be a good starting charge for 4895 powder? J-boolits call for a starting range @ 26. Thanks again for all replies. I thought the 130 might be a little light, but its the only one that Lee offered. If it doesn't deliver i will look into the other brands. I won't have a spotter unless someone offers to help me. The open sights on this are not the best, and with aging eyes it will be a ...

That really helps me. I didn't have an idea where to start. I don't expect to do very well, but I would like to at least luck in to hitting a few and this gives me at least some idea if I can do my part LOL.

I'm shooting my 1st match this Sat. I don't have anything longer than a 25 yard indoor range to signt this in. I have a TC in 7mmTCU shooting a Lee 130 grain cast TL boolit. w/24 gr. 4895 & cci primer. I used an 8" target and I'm using the 6:00 hold to hit the center- about 4" high. Does anybody ...
