Wichita Arms - New Owner

Post by 260 Striker »

I called Wichita Arms today about a part for my silhouette pistol and spoke to a very nice gentleman by the name of Jim McNally. Seems like he bought out the old company about a year ago and is continuing to build the Wichita pistols and maybe even some of their rifles. I didn't ask about rifles, my bad. Anyway he mentioned he has seen room for improvement for the pistols and is turning out very accurate pistols. Not that the old ones were inaccurate but he said he is paying more attention to details that improve accuracy. He said he can rebarrel older pistols and does install brakes too. He also bought out another company that used to build high quality silhouette rifles and has several hundred of those actions. Wish I could remember the name of that company but it was popular in rifle silhouette shooting years ago. Best call him and ask about those actions. Check him out on wichitaarms.com.

the site looks like the old site. have not checked the phone numbers yet.

But, They had lousy triggers. I got lucky and got one of Mike Dewey's Wichita triggers and it is great :D
