This month I have combined the results from both of these ranges into one report.
TOP SHOT SILHOUETTE - & - SALINE CREEK SILHOUETTE
QUITMAN - & - GOLDONNA, LA
March 19-20, 2016
BY: CHARLIE BRAUD
This could have been the shortest match report I’ve ever written so I think I’ll add some details to help explain. I am match director at both of these venues in the north part of our state and they require a drive of about 245 miles, one way, from where I live in the south. Since I am retired, I usually make the trip a few days early, in this case 10 days early, so I can prepare the ranges at a leisurely pace. I have accommodations on some property I own in the area and this allows me comfort for my stay. On the day of the drive, the weather forecast predicted a couple of days of heavy rain (somewhat of an understatement). Some of you may have seen the reports of record flooding that resulted from this rain event in northeast Texas, most of Louisiana, and into Mississippi. I was literally trapped at my location for 3 days because of flooded roads. Within a 15 mile radius of my location at least two people perished in the flood. I was finally able to prepare for my scheduled matches but didn’t really expect much participation. But I had traveled all that distance and as the waters started to recede, I was determined to make the matches happen. Several people assured me they would make an effort to shoot but in the end, there was only me. I fired some token entries and below are my scores. I have combined both matches into one report.

Very respectable scores too especially with your home brewed bullets. Glad you finally got dried out (a little anyway).
