Thanks to Mark Basham at Tusco who drafted up a universal score card.
I just modified it for the categories we shoot at the LHA and added our logo.
We first tried this at our last match and it worked very well. Does away with different colored score cards.
Again, the majority of the work was done by Mark.

Re: Universal score card
Add AIR & it will be a winner. IHMSA should adapt it. Saves big $$$.

Re: Universal score card
The original version I received indirectly from Mark Basham did have Air, Fifth Scale and Ultra. It also had a space on the top for "Club". I just tailored the card for the disciplines that are offered at the LHA. If anyone would be interested in this score card format I would suggest contacting Mark Basham since he is the creator of this card. It does work very well and eliminates the multiple colored cards. Mark created a .docx file which can be manipulated as needed for each local club. I then created a .pdf file after tailoring for the LHA to give the card a more polished look. Again, I would suggest contacting Mark if other clubs would like to use this format. He may get mad at me for posting this but this is a great idea.
Addendum: Mark's version also had "stages" and I changed to "Banks" since that is how we refer to our relays. Mark's version also had "Chicken", "Pig", etc spelled out but I added the graphic animal characters from our old score card. There are multiple tables and text in the .doc file so gets a little confusing to make some changes but not impossible.
A universal card like this helps avoid confusion handing out colored cards at our matches since the person calling the line is usually handing out cards, helping to spot other shooters and sometimes even starting the PA and trying to shoot an entry.

Re: Universal score card
Hi Folks,
Steve, you are right!! We should have gone to something like this years ago.
It eliminates the match director having to make or procure up to 5 different kinds of cards and keeping all the different colored card stock; white, yellow, brown, blue, etc.
Here are the files both in Word and Adobe PDF with air, 1/5 and ultra included. These are for a 40 round match but Mark did 60 and 80 round cards as well. We used some of them for the ECC and they worked perfect. It always was a bear getting the shooters to fill out the cards completely and correctly so nothing changes there!
Hats off to Mark Basham!! Thank you Mark for all you have done for IHMSA over the years. For those of you unaware, Mark was one of the people responsible for the membership CD we did several years ago and did the computer work on the CD.

Awesome! Thanks! Now let's see how long it takes for this to be formally adopted by IHMSA.

Re: Universal score card
I made up the files for the "universal" card. I don't follow the conversations much but Jim told me that they were popular this weekend. If there is anything you need to do to change them, let me know and I can help or do it for you. My e-mail is mbasham@columbus.rr.com.
