Our September match was the last match of 2019 before our State Championship match scheduled for the first weekend of October. I dusted off my old Ruger Single Six for the first time in several years and had to chase sight settings all the way through. I did manage a 31X40 which was better than I was expecting. I then spotted for Ellis Sisk for his PH22 entry and he managed to steer his FA revolver to another perfect score. My brother Philip duplicated his last month’s performance with his new scoped Contender, recording a UAS 40X40 and a UASFS 40X40. Kayla Bonner and her dad David were here today, as was Robert Stevens, each trying to get a final tune-up before our big match next month. My hat is off to Ellis Sisk, not only for posting a perfect score today, but also for staying to help up pick up all the targets and stands after the match in spite of the fact that he is recovering from a shoulder surgery. He volunteered his one good arm to help and could not be dissuaded to sit this one out.
