Field Pistol Presidents Club 2025

Post by Jimologist »

A new season is underway so it is time to get out and shoot some good Field pistol scores for the Presidents Club.

A brief outline of the rules for President club scores;

Must be an current IHMSA member in good standing.
A Production score of 32 or greater qualifies for inclusion.
A Production Any Sight score of 36 or greater qualifies for inclusion.
A combined score of 60 or greater qualifies for inclusion in the aggregate class.
Combined scores of 60 or greater must be shot at the same match. If the match is a multi day match the two scores may be shot on different days.
Re-entries do not qualify.
Scores shot on targets with Hit Indicators (lighted signal) qualify for Presidents club but not for World records.

And we have our first entry!

Jack Lambert is our first entry and he was first entry last year. This score was shot on Jacks range in Brenton, W.Va.
The score was a phenomenal 36 in Prod. Jack shoots a .270 Ren with a Williams peep sight. He backed it up with a PAS (also in .270 Ren) of 28 for a respectable 64 aggregate.

I witnessed these scores and I think Jack should throw his scope away and only shoot iron sights!
One interesting thing about Jacks setup is he does not use a screw in aperture on his Williams peep sight. He is looking through the big threaded hole where a Merit aperture normally screws in. The other interesting thing is; I was at this match and you dont see any of my scores listed! X( X(

Here are the standings so far for 2025! Email me your scores Please!!

Couple new scores to report;

In March Jack Lambert shot a 35 PAS and a 32 P for a new high aggregate of 67. Jack leads standings currently.

In April I shot a 32 P and a 32 PAS for a 64 aggregate.

All these scores were shot on Jacks range in Brenton, WVa.
All were shot with .270 rens

Jack told me that with the .270 ren , you really just point it down range and it hits the target. I tried that but for some reason his scores are usually higher than mine.

Couple new scores to report.

Past Pres Doug Edney shot a great round at Tusco this weekend. Prod. score was a 32 and Pas score was an impressive 38.

The 38 is high for PAS so far and leapfrogs the aggregate of 70 into top score.

Congratulations Doug. That is truly phenomonal shooting.

Jack Lambert Shot a 36 in PAS at the same match to notch an entry into PAS +36. Way to go Jack!!

Two more entries just reported. The competition is heating up!

Jared Richards shot a 38 PAS and a 32 Prod for entries into both categories tying Doug Edneys entries for both categories and aggregate of 70.!

Brother A. J. Joined the club with a 37 in PAS which places him in 2nd place in category.

The talent in the Richards family is immense. I can only think John is holding back to see what he has to beat! :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

Great shooting.
