It was great to see Joey Frensemeier back shooting with us after taking off several years. Hopefully we will see a lot more of him since he has moved a lot closer to the range. Also, welcome to Doug Rule. Doug came out to check out our range and ended up shooting Greg Rhineheimer’s .22 and knocked down 30 some targets (he didn’t turn in his card.) Hopefully we will see a lot more of Doug, too. Thanks Greg for taking him under your wing and showing him how much fun our sport is.
40 X 40’s were elusive today, with Tom Wood having our only one in Big Bore and Walt Sweet having our only one in Small bore. Walt also knocked down 5 of 5 of the shoot off targets—I guess we are going to have to find some more for the next match. Hopefully our streak of good weather holds out and we have a few more shooters show up.

I had a great time showing Doug the ropes. I believe he had a 35. I didn't have enough match ammo with me so he used some ammo he had. Without sight settings and ammo that I know doesn't group real well in my gun, I would say he done fantastic. I asked him to spot for me. When I missed the first ram in UAS I blamed him for my miss ;) . Being he was new and there was no way I could miss :)) . He took the kidding in stride, so he will fit right in.
