Thanks to most of our regular group of shooters, we have a great August match. Jay Clark showed up with his “new-to-him” Anschutz Exemplar. With only basic sight settings he fired a very nice first score of 33X40 in Unlimited AA with his new toy. Bill Bordelon captured Unlimited AAA with his Contender scoring 34X40. My Production Standing scores have been awful for some time now but I was able to squeeze out a 21X40. Maybe I’m starting to turn my slump around. We had a pair of 40X40s in UAS-INT which led to a shoot-off between Bill Bordelon and Philip Braud. After 5 shots each at 1/5th scale chickens at 100 yards, Philip emerged the winner with 4X5 on the little critters. We have only one match remaining before our State Championship match the first weekend of October. On to the scores.
