Re: Wanted Bomar rear sight
Bomar for XP should fit. I just put one on my MK40 and I think all Wichitas have the same hole spacing.

Re: Wanted Bomar rear sight
the one for an xp will not work. too much gap on both sides of the sight base. The Wichita Silhouette model measures 1.200 dia. on the action the one for a xp measures 1.340 dia. or better yet, the Wichita Silhouette has a .600 radius reciever and the Remington has a .670 radius reciever

Re: Wanted Bomar rear sight
if I remember correctly, Bomar never made a sight for the wichita. I know of a couple of people who bought a Bomar blank and had them milled to fit.
For your info, the wichita has the same action dimensions as a Hall action. any scope mount or sight made for a hall action will work on the wichita (Mk40 and the silhouette pistol use the same action).
I am also running an XP sight on my wichita (with a little gap on the sides) but it is solid as a rock and work great.

Re: Wanted Bomar rear sight
I email Skip Nelson with Wichita and he said the MK-40 receiver diameter is 1.365 and the Silhouette model with steel receiver is 1.200 diameter. Like I said the MK-40 will not work and there is that much difference in the two receivers.

Re: Wanted Bomar rear sight
well, should have said that mine is a Wichita silhouette pistol and I have an XP100 sight on it. I would say it works great if I can hit 9 rams at 500 meters with my gun.
now, Is Wichita still in business? I need to get some spare parts for both My Wichita silhouette pistol and also my International pistol (the old 10" monster).

Wichita still in business but only building rifles and rifle rests now. You can still get service on the pistols. I have been emailing Skip Nelson about my MK40 and he has been very helpful. They have a website but I don't remember the URL.
