We have completed our last IHMSA Silhouette match for the 2012 season. Finished with cool weather, clear skies and 10-20 MPH winds. We had a great turnout with 21 entries. The Bordello category which is not a sanctioned match for IHMSA had 11 fearless souls try there hand at Field Pistol targets. This is not an easy course of fire. Scores are typically low. You must stand, no sight adjustment after starting the match. Firearms are home defense type handguns.
Our first place winner was Darell Holcombe with a score of 16 out of 40 targets. Darell shoots a 6" Taurus 357 Magnum DA with iron sights. Great shooting Darell!

In IHMSA Big Bore Unlimited Any Sight Harry Alder managed a perfect score of 40 with 5 out of 5 shoot off targets at 200 yds. Congratulations Harry, you made it look too easy. I also thank you and Sharon for traveling from western MO to shoot here at JPRPC.

Our next match will be in March of 2013. I am hopeful to make a change to the 4th Saturday. The Small Bore IHMSA match will still be on the third Sunday. I want to thank everyone that attended and invite you back next year. If you have any suggestions on our match procedures or something to add please contact me anytime.
I will give updates on the match schedule when finalized and any new information from IHMSA. This is our range to enjoy so please make plans to attend next season. I would like to thank Jackson Purchase Rifle and Pistol Club for supporting our sport of shooting silhouettes. I would also like to thank Bob Longsworth for his commitment for some 6 years directing this match. Thank you Bob, I will do my best to continue silhouette matches at JPRPC.
