BB Targets

Post by tinkerer »

I have a range owner here in North Texas (Leonard, TX to be exact) who would like to open a new IHMSA shoot, with BB to start with.

We would like to acquire a set of gently used Big Bore targets to start with. So, if you know of or have a set available, I would like to hear from you ASAP.

Preferably the ones without the FMJ holes in them and that actually stand up on their own.

In the future, if successful, SB and field pistol may be added. He is even talking open automated reset.

Larry,

I sent an email to John Dunn, TX State Director with a link to your post. He should be able to help.

& thanks for taking on this project! New ranges are a welcome sight! They mean new members!

Larry,

I'll put the word out and see what we can scare up.

Larry,

You might check the price of new ones from Custom Manufacturing 214-428-5173 in Dallas. If they could be picked up would be no shipping charges.

So far, prices are around $4-$5K. Talked to RGV that just shut down a range and he will sell us a set for only $1500.
Message sent to range owner. It's now in his court and I hope onward. Will post shooting dates.

Thanks for all the help. Come shoot soon.

Thanks for everyone's help. Unfortunately, the range owner has decided he's not interested in investing in a set of targets at this time. We have even called off our specialty pistol long range shoot scheduled for April 28 due to his lack of interest.

Yes, I'm real happy right now.
