I need to find a gunsmith to rebarrel an XP100 for me with some other minor stuff.
I am going to be getting a barrel from Shilen that will be turned, threaded and rough chambered.
I need to find a gunsmith that can do the final fitting, finish ream the chamber, drill and tap barrel for a front sight and install a muzzle brake.
Please let me know as the ones I knew of no longer are doing gunsmith work

I heard that JD Jones worked on XPs but you would have to contact him to verify that. I just got on accurateshooter.com and they mentioned Steve Roe who is Apache308 on that board. Another smith named there is Eddie Harren in Maryland. Might want to go to Specialty Pistols and check their forum/website. I just Googled XP100 gunsmiths and got some info. I even heard Bullberry does XP work. Does Mike Dewey still do XP work? I know he still makes XP triggers.

He built an Anschutz up for me two years ago(Shilen barrel)...and did an XP with a new Hart barrel on it last winter....doing another XP for me this fall. Very happy with his work. I "think" he's the gunsmith for many of the IHMSA Oklahoma guys, including Jim Fields. I would highly recommend him.
But you're correct...many of the gunsmiths that I've had over the past 38 years are sadly either gone or retired.

Mike dewey would have been my first choice as I know him personally, but alas he has gotten into other projects
I sure loved the XP that ralph Bond built for me in 1991.
luckily I have a while as shilen will not have the barrel ready for at least 3 months.

none really except to make it easier on the gunsmith who will install the barrel. what I mean by rough chamber is it will be kept short for the gunsmith to perform the final headspacing. shilen will polish the chamber before shipping.
But, I looked and Shilen may start rebarreling guns next month. They were the ones who rebarreled the gun last time until I wore it out (first inch of rifling is gone).
