I used a Savage Striker in .243 Win to shoot BB and 1/2 scale today.

When I first wanted to shoot Field (Hunter) Pistol, I used the only thing I had extra ammo for. A 44 Mag Revolver with full house loads! What fun!

Oh yeah... I used my Colt Gold Cup in a BB match in Vegas for the fun of it. I hadn't really gotten serious with IHMSA at that point. I actually think that's what hooked me. I was lobbing these light .45ACP loads (stuff I shot Bullseye with) at the targets. IIRC, on Rams, I was holding at about 30 degrees above the target. I hit 6 or 8 and about half fell... I distinctly remember the recoil of the gun. Dropping the hold after the follow-through, getting a drink of water, talking to my Dad, watching Paul Habig shoot a target or two THEN I'd hear the "ting" and (maybe) the target fell.

375JDJ, using cast bullets. If I recall correctly, 40x40+8.
I shot a 45-70 and CB's a couple of years ago just to say I had done it. I don't remember the score but I had a pretty good audience when I got to rams and was shooting the 535 grainers. FYI, I did not ring a single target that I hit :)) .

A friend of mine wanted to shoot a 40 in every caliber he had and the two I know of were with a 45 Colt and a 38/44 B & D. I'm sure he did others, but I don't know the calibers.

We had a new shooter come out and try it with some sort of WW II German semi-auto. It was some 7.62 x ?? bottle necked cartridge. He shot it in creedmore. Didn't hit many targets but he had fun and that's what it's about.
