Finally, not too hot, no rain—very pleasant day for shooting. It was good to see Dean back, although he only got to shoot one gun before losing a contact and not being able to see very well. Joe Puffert led the pack again with a big bore 40 x 40 plus 6 shoot offs. Tom Wood also had a 40 X 40. Larry was our only other big bore shooter and was having a little trouble with his sight settings.

Greg Rhineheimer was our .22 leader with a perfect 40 x 40 and 5/5 shoot off targets. Nice shooting, Greg. Dean also had a 40 x 40, but didn’t shoot any shoot off targets. In UAS-AAA class, both Larry Egan and I had 39’s—Larry missing the 2nd last ram and I let a stinking turkey get away.

The season is slipping away. We have our regular September matches and then we have an extra Sunday match in October. We will shoot on Saturday, October 15, Sunday, October 23 and Sunday, October 30. Be sure to mark your calendar so that you don’t miss the last matches of the year
