We had a beautiful day for our first match of the year. Unfortunately everyone must have had other things to do. We had a very light turnout with only 6 shooters and only 12 guns fired. Maybe it was the date change—we had to move to the third Sunday instead of the last Sunday this month because of a range conflict. We will be shooting on the last Sunday of the month for the rest of the year.
We had 3 guns fired for score in Big Bore and they were all 40 X 40’s. Joe Puffert had 7 shoot off targets to lead the way, Walt Sweet had 4 shoot offs and Tom Wood knocked down 3. Also, Greg Rhineheimer had a 40 X 40 in .22 with 4/5 shoot off targets. Welcome back to Ricky Foster who had a little trouble with his first round, but came back with a fine 35 in a re-entry. Greg Harrison was our field pistol leader with 14.
Hope to see you next month. We shoot on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 29. All matches start at noon.
